A budget model available in different colours to set yourself apart from your friends. The 5Mp resolution will easily print to 8×10 and the 1cm super macro mode will allow the camera to focus a lot closer for small or highly detailed subjects.
The inclusion of a proper viewfinder means that the screen can be switched off to save power and the AA battery compatibility keeps the camera going because fresh batteries can be bought anywhere.
The camera is not waterproof and can suffer from sand invasion, so be careful when going to the beach. The camera does have a Beach mode to help with your holidays, though.
